The new front access only design offers maximum isolation between the various functional sections within the unit. Ease of installation is achieved in the dedicated I/O section of the switch using staggered bus connections that are fully accessible from the front of the unit. With a centrally located and fully isolated section for customer connections along with standard IR ports for thermal scanning of bolted connections, the front access SuperSwitch®4 perfectly balances safety, ease of use, and accessibility.

For 600A - 1200A, the SuperSwitch®4 is available in the traditional SuperSwitch® ultra-dense design that maximizes usage of physical floor space. Front access is required for operation and removal of serviceable components, while one side or rear access is required for installation and fastening of customer connections.

By intergrating a Cyberex SuperSwitch4 Digital Static Transfer Switch (DSTS) and a Cyberex Power Distribution Unit (PDU), the MC series provides the highest level of configurability for diverse equipment loads and maximum growth. Coupled with advanced circuit management options and communications, the MC Series is the key to design element for ensuring maximum uptime for your facility.

The MC11 Series is a Cyberex SuperSwitch4 Digital Static Transfer Switch (DSTS) at the input of a transformer that feeds output distribution devices which may include sub-feed breakers and/or panelboards.

These integrated packages offer a single, easy-to-install, factory-tested unit that avoids expensive inter-cabinet wiring all within a compact footprint. This compact footprint maximizes valuable floor space and reduces power cabling costs. A multitude of available distribution features and comprehensive circuit management with advanced communications provides the ultimate in design flexibility and reliability.

Intelligent Hybrid Rack Mount Transfer Switch

Raritan's Intelligent Hybrid Rack Mount Transfer Switch system is the first in the world to offer both electromechanical relays and silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs) to overcome the limitations of a traditional automatic transfer switch (ATS). It provides load transfer times that are comparable to that of a static transfer switch (STS), more energy efficiently, and at a far more accessible price point. It is also the first in the world to offer inlet, outlet, and branch circuit level power metering; and outlet-level switching for better remote power control.

Raritan's rack transfer switch offers:

  • Current sampling at 4,800 times per second for load transfers within 4 to 8ms.
  • Oversized relays, rated at 48A, and SCRs, rated at 70A, even though the transfer switches are intended for 16A and 32A loads.
  • Relay contact air gap of 3.3mm vs. the 0.6mm gap used in most transfer switch relays on the market to prevent electric arcing.
  • Two single throw relays instead of one double throw relay (a single point of failure) to support reliable out-of-phase transfers.
  • Inlet, outlet, and branch circuit level metering.
  • Remote outlet switching.
